Solitude

The summer heat radiates and absorbs into the sand before hitting the cool waters off of New York’s shores.  She peruses around the edge of the water debating whether to dive in. Her feet inch closer to the smaller pebbles. The sun is slowly crossing overhead and falling to the West. The wind changes as water surrounds her body. It is quiet in this moment of solitude.
